The Moon Park in Meribel has taken on a slightly different approach this season.
Due to the poor start to the season and the lack of snow, the Moon Park in Meribel was only able to build two green kickers. It took them a little while to get the park operational but they managed to make a very varied snowboard park. There were multiple box lines installed which were all progressive.
Through the entrance to the park was the option of 14 rollers in a row or the start-gates of the Boarder-cross course. The roller are great fun, you can practice all sorts of airs, shifties, grabs, 180s, tail-taps and combo’s. The rollers are really fun and a great way to learn to ollie. After the rollers you enter into the main body of the park. This year on the left, where the slopestyle line usually is, there was a dual slalom course set up. This allowed you to race against your friends in a direct head-to-head race. Those wanting to carry on with freestyle were met with either the first of the green kickers or a choice of boxes or a side-on rail. The park further carried on to another bank of boxes with gap-ons and even a stair-set. Check out the photos below of all the features in the park.
The lowest section of the park consisted of a canon box or final green kicker. Obviously the lack of snow had meant that the bottom part of the park was limited with features.
